Message from the President
Happy Holidays!
‘It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas’, as they say. The first
real snow of the year is just covering the grass as I write.
This month will be a busy one for all of us and if you are spending
your first holiday season in Edmonton, you’ll find there’s a lot to
do and see at this time of year. Be sure to have a look in the
‘Around Town’ section for Christmas/Holiday events around the
Edmonton area.
Our own Club activities will be running on an altered schedule,
so be sure to check the calendar also. Instead of our 3rd Wednesday
evening social, we will have a holiday party on Wednesday, December
5th, hosted by Rhonda's. Dress up and bring a finger food to share.
You will have the opportunity to share some holiday spirit with
those less fortunate, if you wish, by contributing an item to and
participating in our silent auction. All proceeds will be donated
to local charities.
In lieu of President’s coffee, I will host a cookie exchange on
Wednesday, December 12th. RSVP if possible, but feel free to
show up on a whim, too!! (See December Events for details.)
In January, I’m hoping to have a meeting of Conveners, including
those who are just thinking about convening. Consider making a
New Year’s resolution to convene your favourite activity.
In the meantime, I’ll see you at the party!!
Yours in friendship,
Amy Nelson |
