Message from the President
The new snow has turned our city into a beautiful winter wonderland.
I hope you're finding some ways to enjoy it. It's easy to get cabin fever, so try something new this month.
February 18 is Family Day in Alberta-a statutory holiday, so your kids will have the day off school
and your husband may be home, too. Better start planning now!
One way to fight that cabin fever is by going on the girls' weekend in April (it's quite possible the snow won't be melted by then).
The deadline is Feb. 15-contact Marie.
As you know by now, we are in need of a new Newsletter Editor.
I'm extremely grateful to our secretary, Rhonda, for taking on the
job this month, but she cannot keep doing it after this. In the
short term, this is a commitment for 4 issues - March, April, May,
and a summer issue. If the job suits you, we'll let you sign on
for another year!!
We would also like to find someone to do the weekly updates.
Creating a separate job of the update writing is one way we hope to make the Newsletter Editor's job more manageable.
If no one volunteers, we will have to do without the updates.
The club hasn't always had weekly updates, so we know we can survive without them.
Surviving without a Newsletter however would be a bigger problem. This is our chief means of communication.
If this club has been helpful to you, please consider helping the club out.
Perhaps ask a friend if she'd like to take it on with you as co-editors.
As always, feel free to call me for more details before you make a final decision.
The Newsletter Editor is a board position, so becoming the Editor also gives you a voice on the Executive Board.
So I hope to hear from some of you.
Keep staying warm!! Only 6, I mean 2 more months of winter!
Yours in friendship,
Amy Nelson |
