Message from the President
So have you had enough winter yet?!
Most of us have, but the end’s not in
sight, so you‘d better get out and have
some fun with your Newcomer friends.
Why not try something new this
month? Our potluck supper group
didn’t meet last month due to the lack
of a hostess. This is an activity you
can bring your Significant Other to or
come alone. Hosting is easy since
your guests bring the food!!
You’ve probably noticed by now
that our Newsletter has a new look—
that’s because we have a new
Newsletter Editor. New member Tina, a journalist recently settled
in Edmonton from Macedonia, has
volunteered to take on the job of
Newsletter Editor. I, for one, am
extremely grateful because we need
our Newsletter to keep us on track
with activities. If you see Tina this
month be sure to give her lots of
encouragement.
If you’d like to find
out what it takes to keep a Newcomers
Club running, join us at an Executive
Board meeting. We meet the first
Wednesday of each month and all our
members are welcome. You can join
in the discussion or just listen in. We
always welcome your input! See
inside for the time and place of this
month’s meeting.
In the meantime, watch out for
those icy sidewalks.
